Every flower I create is more than art.
It’s a story, a memory, and a connection to the Hebridean islands of Scotland. Born and raised in Harris, I pour my love for this place into every petal, capturing the essence of the wild landscapes and the heritage of Harris Tweed®️
Each one-of-a-kind piece is inspired by the machair wildflowers that bloom along the rugged coastline, evoking the feeling of standing amidst wind-swept meadows. My flowers aren’t just handmade items; they’re a way to hold the spirit of the Hebrides in your hands.
Whether a gift or a keepsake, my work offers a bridge to the islands, anchoring you to the beauty, calm, and wonder of this extraordinary place; wherever you are.

About Me
Hi, I’m Sheena - a self-taught textile artist driven by a deep love for nature and the beauty of ‘home.’ Originally from the Isle of Harris, I left at 17 for university, but my heart has always remained there. Now based in Perth, I create my 3D flower art, blending the natural world with my inner spirit. My husband, Mr. M. (who’s originally from Lewis), helps behind the scenes with the more technical aspects, but the magic truly comes from the heart of the island that shaped me. When we visit our family homes in Lewis and Harris, I also create flowers there, connecting my craft with the land I love. Through every petal I create, I share the story of my journey, my roots, and the land that calls me home. This is a legacy and a connection that no one else can offer in the same way.
From Nurse to Artist
In 2010, I made my own Harris Tweed wedding bouquet, sparking a creative journey that eventually led me to leave behind 26 years as a nurse and step into the world of textile artistry. Like a seed, I grew slowly, nourished by the freedom to express my individuality. I now pour the same care and attention into every petal I create that I once dedicated to nursing.
Inspired by Home
My creative heart beats strongest for the Hebridean Islands, particularly the rugged beauty of Harris, where I grew up. Though I’ve ventured far, it’s the smell and taste of the salty Atlantic air and the sight of wildflowers dancing in the wind that fuels my soul. One day, I will return, not for a short visit, but to call this place my forever home again. West will always be best!
The Hebridean Machair Collection
My Hebridean Machair and Wildflower Collection celebrates the untamed beauty of the Outer Hebrides’ machair—a fragile, vibrant landscape where wildflowers thrive in harmony with the land. My bloom interpretations are my love letter to the rugged beauty that shaped me, capturing the colours, textures, and spirit of the meadows that enchanted me as a child growing up.
Creating with Authenticity
What sets my flowers apart is the use of authentic HARRIS TWEED®, a fabric woven with centuries of tradition and one that has its own act of parliament. Each flower is a tribute to the skilled artisans who wove the fabric, the crofters who tended the land, and the landscape that shaped both. Through my craft, I bring a different aspect of life to the iconic cloth, honouring its enduring beauty in every piece I create.
Honouring Originality
Each piece I make reflects my respect for originality. Just as my flowers are unique, I encourage others to explore their own creative paths with authenticity. In art, as in life, it’s not about imitation - it’s about finding your own voice and expressing it in a way that’s true to who you are.
Bringing Scotland to You
My designs are more than just flowers - they are a bridge between the beauty of Scotland and wherever you call home. I hope each piece invites you to pause, reflect, and celebrate the landscapes that inspire me. Every bloom is not just a decoration, but a piece of Scotland, carrying the heart of the Hebrides with it wherever it goes.
